NEW FOR 2020

STAY ON OUR BOAT

ACCOMMODATION

MARA our treasured sailing boat is our new offering for 2020 as unusual accommodation suitable for two persons (possibly three with prior agreement). She is based in a lovely marina called Villeneuve Loubet which is superbly located between Nice and Cannes. The marina boasts some super restaurants and is only 100m from the beach and boardwalk - perfect for early morning strolls, swims and runs with the morning sun. Relaxing on her deck with a chilled bottle of wine watching the world go by is a really cool thing to do.

MARA is 11 metres long and guests have exclusive occupation of the boat.  The sleeping quarters are located in the cockpit and there is a deck suitable for sunbathing and front cabin (mainly for storage), small kitchenette for basic food prep, coffee making etc and onboard WC.  There is a small fridge for chilling the important gin and tonics.

Guest also have use of the marinas own private hot water shower/WC facilities which are a 2 minute walk from the boat.

From €60 Per Night for Two Persons" (minimum 3 night stay)

THE LOCAL AREA

Marina Baie des Anges at Villeneuve Loubet is a port and yacht club with great views of the Mediterranean.  She nestles in the iconic curved apartment buildings that dominate the coastline and which are easily spotted when coming into land at Nice Airport.

The marina has a thriving bar and restaurant scene, supermarket, laundry, spa facilities, water sports and heated swimming pool and so it is easy to relax and find your feet as soon as you arrive.  There is a gorgeous cycling route from the marina all the way along the coast to Nice and you can hire a cycle from the marina shop.

There are many water sports facilities very close by and the marina holds a blue flag award for clean water. There is also a lovely protected parkland and bird sanctuary close by with a river walk that takes you to Biot and even further to Valbonne for the adventurous walker.

The marina is very well located for travelling and seeing the French Riviera and so a trip to Cannes, St Tropez, Monaco or a medieval hilltop village where time stands still are all easily accessible whether driving or by the local coastal train or bus routes which are only a couple of euros.

GETTING AROUND

Nice Airport is a 15-minute drive from the marina. There are a number of options to reach the boat from the airport which includes driving, getting a taxi or Uber.  Alternatively, the airport express bus runs from and to the airport on a regular basis and the bus stop, along with the train station is a 15-minute walk from the boat.
